Hospice Taranaki

Plant & Platform (P&P) are proud to be a supporter of Hospice Taranaki as a Champion sponsor. Champion sponsorship is a long-term partnership that assists the financial stability of Hospice Taranaki. The monthly payment programme allows Hospice Taranaki to forecast and budget on the basis of a known income stream.

Hospice services are partly funded by the Ministry of Health through Te Whatu Ora / Health NZ Taranaki, leaving a significant shortfall to be sustained through community assistance. The Champions programme was established to form alliances with local businesses throughout Taranaki.

Te Kahu Pairuri Hospice Taranaki is the only specialist palliative and end-of-life care service provider in the Taranaki community. Vital 24-hour, seven days a week, care and support is provided to patients and their families/whanau free of charge.

Recently we had the pleasure of hosting Paul Lamb (Hospice Taranaki CEO) and Rose Whitaker (Community Partnership Lead) to a P&P team morning tea. Paul gave a short presentation on the background of Hospice Taranaki and the importance of the support provided by the group of Champion sponsors. Paul presented a certificate to Steve Blackman (P&P Managing Director) and it was a pleasure introducing Paul and Rose to the P&P team. The sausage rolls and potato top pies went down well too.
